Start the day at the legendary Afqa Waterfall, where the Adonis River gushes from a dramatic cliffside cave. This site is steeped in Phoenician mythology and offers an unforgettable photo stop.
Next, head to the peaceful Aaqoura Lakes, nestled between pine-covered mountains. Enjoy a short walk, take scenic photos, and admire the natural beauty of this hidden gem.
Visit one of Lebanon’s most iconic natural wonders — the Baatara Gorge Waterfall, famous for its triple rock bridges. Walk to several viewpoints and take in the dramatic sinkhole and cascading water.
Stop for a delicious traditional Lebanese lunch at a local restaurant in the Tannourine area. Your guide will recommend an authentic spot.
(Lunch is optional and not included in the tour price.)
Take a peaceful stroll through the Tannourine Cedar Reserve, home to some of Lebanon’s oldest and most majestic cedar trees, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Conclude your nature tour with a visit to Kfarhelda Waterfall, a powerful cascade set in a lush, green valley — perfect for one last photo and a breath of fresh mountain air.
Relax during the scenic drive back to Beirut, taking with you beautiful memories of Lebanon’s most stunning natural landmarks.
The tour typically lasts around 8 hours, starting at 9:00 AM and ending by late afternoon.
The tour includes light walking, but two stops involve moderate activity: the trail to Kfarhelda Waterfall is a bit steep, and Baatara Gorge (Balou Balaa) requires a moderate hike to reach the base of the waterfall. However, for those who prefer not to hike, a short cable car ride is available at Baatara Gorge to reach a lower viewing point.
Swimming is not possible, but you can get close to the waterfalls and enjoy the refreshing mist, especially at Kfarhelda.
🍽️ Lunch is not included. We stop at a local restaurant, and your guide can recommend authentic Lebanese dishes to try.
Yes, all entrance fees to the reserves and waterfalls included in the itinerary are covered in the tour price.
Bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, a light jacket (for higher altitudes), and comfortable walking shoes or hiking sneakers.
Yes! While we follow a general itinerary to make the most of your day, the timing isn’t rigid. We’re happy to make small adjustments based on your pace, interests, or special requests — as long as we stay within the tour duration. Your comfort and enjoyment come first.
Yes, children are welcome on this tour! However, please note that some parts — like the hike to Baatara Gorge or the descent to Kfarhelda Waterfall — involve moderate or slightly steep trails. Young children should be supervised, and families can choose easier viewing points or use the cable car at Baatara for a more comfortable experience.
