Depart from Beirut and enjoy a comfortable drive along Lebanon’s southern coastline. Take in scenic views of the Mediterranean Sea, fishing villages, and citrus groves as you head toward Sidon.
Arrive in Sidon (Saida) and explore the iconic Sidon Sea Castle, a Crusader fortress built on a small island linked by a stone causeway. Climb the towers for panoramic sea views, and step back in time. Then, stroll through Sidon’s vibrant old souks, filled with local crafts, spices, sweets, and hidden gems like the Soap Museum.
Arrive in Tyre and visit the Al-Bass site, one of the most important Roman ruins in Lebanon. Walk through the ancient necropolis, admire the Roman triumphal arch, and stand inside the 2nd-century Roman hippodrome, once used for grand chariot races.
Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant in Tyre. Enjoy traditional Lebanese dishes or fresh seafood with a view.
(Lunch is optional and not included in the tour price.)
Continue your discovery with a visit to the Al-Mina site, located near the sea. Explore the remains of Roman roads, ancient mosaic floors, marble columns, and the remnants of Tyre’s ancient Phoenician port, all surrounded by the sea breeze.
Head up to the tranquil hilltop town of Maghdouche. Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mantara, believed to be the cave where the Virgin Mary waited while Jesus preached. Climb the tower beside the shrine for panoramic views of Sidon, the coastline, and the surrounding hills.
